1. BUSINESS INFORMATION

Lucky U Custom Designs is a small, independently owned business that creates handmade and custom products, including horse halters, reins, tie ropes, dog collars, leashes, hobbles, cow halters, and other custom items.

Because our products are handmade, slight variations in color, measurements, knots, braiding, texture, and appearance may occur. These variations are a natural part of handmade products and are not necessarily considered defects.

2. CUSTOM ORDERS

Many products sold by Lucky U Custom Designs are handmade and/or customized specifically for the customer.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information when placing an order, including but not limited to:

  • Measurements

  • Product size

  • Colors

  • Hardware selections

  • Personalization

  • Shipping address

  • Other customization instructions

Once an order has been submitted, changes may not be possible.

Lucky U Custom Designs is not responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information, measurements, selections, or instructions provided by the customer.

Because custom products are made specifically for the customer, custom and personalized orders are generally final sale and are not eligible for returns or exchanges except where required by applicable law or when an item is defective or incorrectly made by Lucky U Custom Designs.

Please review your order carefully before submitting it.

3. PRODUCT MEASUREMENTS & FIT

Customers are responsible for providing accurate measurements when measurements are required for a custom product.

Measurements can vary depending on how and where an animal is measured. Lucky U Custom Designs may provide measurement instructions or recommendations, but the customer is ultimately responsible for confirming the measurements supplied with the order.

Lucky U Custom Designs is not responsible for an improperly fitting product when the product was made according to the measurements or specifications provided by the customer.

If you are unsure about sizing or measurements, please contact us before placing your order.

4. HANDMADE PRODUCT VARIATIONS

Our products are handmade rather than mass-produced.

As a result, no two products may be exactly identical. Minor differences in:

  • Color

  • Braiding

  • Knots

  • Pattern placement

  • Texture

  • Hardware positioning

  • Measurements within reasonable manufacturing tolerances may occur.

These characteristics are part of the handmade nature of our products and do not automatically constitute a defect.

5. PRODUCT SAFETY & INSPECTION

Customers are responsible for inspecting products before each use.

Do not use a product if it appears damaged, excessively worn, frayed, broken, stretched, or otherwise compromised.

Customers should regularly inspect:

  • Rope or cord

  • Knots and braiding

  • Hardware

  • Buckles

  • Rings

  • Snaps

  • Attachment points

  • Any other component that could affect the product's integrity

If any component appears damaged or unsafe, discontinue use immediately.

Products should be used only for their intended purpose and in a manner appropriate for the animal, activity, and environment.

6. ANIMAL PRODUCTS & INHERENT RISKS

Many Lucky U Custom Designs products are intended for use with horses, cattle, dogs, and other animals.

Animal behavior is unpredictable. The use of any animal-related product involves inherent risks, including but not limited to pulling, bolting, bucking, kicking, biting, rubbing, entanglement, equipment failure, or other unexpected behavior.

Lucky U Custom Designs cannot guarantee that a product will prevent injury, escape, damage, or other incidents involving an animal.

The customer assumes responsibility for determining whether a product is appropriate for their animal, intended use, and circumstances.

Customers should use appropriate judgment and supervision when using any product with an animal.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lucky U Custom Designs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the purchase, use, misuse, inability to use, or performance of any product.

This includes, without limitation, claims involving:

  • Injury

  • Property damage

  • Animal injury or loss

  • Loss of business

  • Loss of income

  • Loss of profits

  • Equipment damage

  • Consequential damages

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. ASSUMPTION OF RISK

By purchasing and using products from Lucky U Custom Designs, you acknowledge that you understand the inherent risks associated with working with and handling animals and agree to use the products responsibly.

You are responsible for determining whether a product is appropriate for your intended use and for using appropriate safety precautions.

9. PRODUCT STRENGTH & MATERIALS

Product materials and strength specifications may be provided in individual product descriptions when applicable.

Any stated tensile strength or material strength refers to the material's specifications and does not guarantee the strength of the finished product under every circumstance.

Actual product performance may be affected by factors including, but not limited to:

  • Wear and tear

  • Knots

  • Braiding

  • Hardware

  • Environmental conditions

  • Animal behavior

  • Improper use

  • Cutting or alteration

  • Chemical exposure

  • Heat

  • Abrasion

Customers should not assume that a stated material tensile strength represents the guaranteed working load or breaking strength of the completed product.

10. PROHIBITED PRODUCT MODIFICATIONS

Customers should not modify, cut, alter, re-braid, add hardware to, or otherwise modify a product without understanding how the modification may affect the product's integrity.

Lucky U Custom Designs is not responsible for damage, failure, injury, or loss resulting from modifications made by the customer or another party.

11. PAYMENTS & ORDER ACCEPTANCE

Payment must be received according to the payment terms presented at checkout.

For custom orders, Lucky U Custom Designs may require full payment before materials are cut or production begins.

An order is not considered fully confirmed until payment has been successfully received.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order when necessary, including situations involving suspected fraud, payment issues, unavailable materials, pricing errors, or other legitimate business reasons.

If an order is cancelled by Lucky U Custom Designs and payment has already been received, any applicable refund will be handled in accordance with our posted policies and applicable law.

Placing an order does not guarantee that Lucky U Custom Designs will accept the order. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order for legitimate reasons, including payment issues, suspected fraud, pricing errors, unavailable materials, inability to fulfill a requested customization, or other circumstances that prevent us from completing the order. If we cancel an order after payment has been received, any required refund will be issued in accordance with applicable law. 

12. PRICING & PRODUCT INFORMATION

We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, pricing, measurements, and other information on our website are accurate.

However, errors may occasionally occur.

Lucky U Custom Designs reserves the right to correct errors, update information, change prices, or cancel orders affected by an obvious pricing or product-description error.

Photographs may also appear slightly different depending on lighting, screen settings, photography conditions, and the handmade nature of the product.

13. SHIPPING

Shipping is governed by our separate Shipping & Return Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Once an order has been transferred to the shipping carrier, Lucky U Custom Designs cannot control the carrier's handling or delivery process.

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.

Lucky U Custom Designs is not responsible for delays, loss, theft, damage, or delivery problems caused by the shipping carrier or by an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, except where otherwise required by applicable law.

Shipping notifications and tracking information will be provided through Shopify when available.

14. RETURNS & EXCHANGES

All returns and exchanges are governed by our Shipping & Return Policy.

Because many of our products are custom and handmade specifically for each customer, custom and personalized products are generally not eligible for returns or exchanges.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to eliminate any rights a customer may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on the Lucky U Custom Designs website, including but not limited to:

  • Business name

  • Logos

  • Product photographs

  • Graphics

  • Product descriptions

  • Written content

  • Designs

  • Original artwork

  • Branding

  • Website content

is owned by or licensed to Lucky U Custom Designs unless otherwise stated.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or use our content, photographs, designs, branding, or written materials for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
